so as many of you know and for those who don't...we are moving! and i don't mean finding a new house in NWA like i have done so so so many times before. i mean moving...
the whole family is hopping in the car either tomorrow or Friday to go to Little Rock/Cabot area to look for a house. Yes, i'm going house hunting yet again. I really do like to move, kinda. i hate all the packing and organizing but secretly i love it. i love the fact that for a few months after you get your house set up everything is organized and in its place (i'm not motivated enough to do this to a house i actually live in)
i haven't organized anything in this house since like the 8th month of pregnancy (nesting). Don't get me wrong i clean, i clean all the time, probably a little to much. i have a list of chores that HAVE to be completed each day, so that we don't have to clean all weekend.
ok ok back to the move...i am so scared to move. i have always wanted to think of myself as a traveler and someone who can just pick up and go, but that fact of the matter is i'm not and i can't. i have lived in Fayetteville for 9 years and before that the same house in the wonderful (haha) town of Camden for 18 years. I know Little Rock is not like moving to new york or cali but i am going to be picking up and moving away from the friends i have made for the most of my adult life (holy crap, i have an adult life!!)
My life has been a crazy whirlwind this last year, i had to get an actual job, my husband went back to school to get an engineering degree, i got pregnant, my best friend moved to Virgina, i had a baby, i quit my job and went alittle crazy with hardly any adult interaction, we talked about moving to LR, my child started crawling (which made me look into the future really fast, walking, talking, reading, dating, graduating, moving away) didn't i just bring her home from the hospital and now my giant child (who can look like a bald toddler at times) can already crawl up into your lap and put her head down on your chest (so sweet) but she is growing up too fast, and now we are moving and probably in the next month.
life is moving way to fast, i still feel like i should be in high school or just starting college, thats the age i am in my mind and so when someone calls me ma'am i freak out a little each time (doesn't happen often, but the fact that it has happened is bad enough). The move is going to be bitter sweet, i will be happy to be closer to home and some family. I hope i can be social enough to make friends but that is kinda hard when you stay at home all day...ahhhh!!! i just have to keep telling myself this will all be for the best. LR here we come! hope you are ready for us!
